Describe the 2014 Patriots in One Word

Give it your best shot: describe the 2014 Patriots in one word.

David Butler II-USA TODAY Sports

This should be an interesting one. For this week's GMC Playbook question, Marshall Faulk asks us to describe the 2014 Patriots in one word:

So how would I describe the Patriots? It's particularly tough to say because this team has been so up and down through the first five weeks. The could be world beaters, or they could still theoretically miss the playoffs all together.

So my word to describe them: wildcard.

Because that's exactly what they are at this point. They might not be the juggernaut that everyone expected them to be heading into the season, but they certainly have the pieces in place to make a run and win it all this winter. We still don't know exactly what to expect, but they could certainly have an impact on the AFC playoffs if/when they get there.

How would you describe these Patriots in one word?
