The New England Patriots could be in the market for a star veteran wide receiver. No, not the oft-rumored Andre Johnson or Larry Fitzgerald, but Buccaneers wideout Vincent Jackson.
Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported the Patriots' interest this morning:
Vincent Jackson still generating trade interest. Among the more than 4 teams calling around: Eagles, Pats, Seahawks. Bucs want real value

.@RapSheet: "Bucs would be willing to trade Vincent Jackson for the right price. What would that be? A second round pick."

The Patriots have made due with their receiving corps of Julian Edelman, Brandon LaFell, Danny Amendola, and others to this point in the season. But the fact remains that they don't have a receiver that can consistently create separation down the field.
Jackson would make sense in that area. He's an explosive weapon with tremendous size. He could immediately enter the Patriots' 3-WR rotation with Edelman and LaFell.
Of course, that 2nd round pick price tag is a hefty one. He's also 31 years old that has two years and two $12.2 million cap hits left on his contract.
What are your thoughts on a potential Jackson-to-the-Patriots deal?
