The New England Patriots have made a trade with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. No, it's not for wide receiver Vincent Jackson. Or running back Doug Martin. Or safety Mark Barron. It's for linebacker Jonathan Casillas. Ian Rapoport reports:
The #Bucs are finishing up a trade to send LB Jonathan Casillas to the #Patriots, source says.

Cannot imagine the Patriots give up a whole lot in this trade, likely a conditional seventh round draft choice. Casillas does fill a need, however, as the Patriots have very little depth at linebacker and Casillas is an experienced player.
The 27 year old has started 15 career games between the Saints and the Bucanneers. At 6'1" and 227 lbs, he's a bit too light to fit into the 3-4, but could provide some value at various spots in the 4-3.
Signed as an undrafted rookie out of Wisonsin by the Saints in 2009, Casillas might be most famous for the onsides kick he recovered for the Saints in Super Bowl XLIV.
