Halftime: Patriots jump out to 24-6 lead over Lions

New, comments

The Patriots are leading the Lions 24-6 at halftime.

Stew Milne-USA TODAY Sports

The New England Patriots have deployed an aerial attack against the Detroit Lions, and lead them 24-6 at halftime in their week twelve match-up.

The Patriots have relied on the arm of Tom Brady, having only run the ball six times in the first half. Brady found Tim Wright for two touchdowns and LeGarrette Blount had a score of his own.

Defensively, the Patriots are doing a good job getting pressure on Matthew Stafford and have effectively shut down Calvin Johnson with a mixture of Darrelle Revis and Brandon Browner in coverage.
