Per ESPN's Mike Reiss, cornerback Kyle Arrington did not make the trip to New York to face the Jets. The cornerback has been battling a hamstring injury that took him out of last week's game against the Dolphins. It's likely that sophomore cornerback Logan Ryan will step up in Arrington's place to face slot receiver Jeremy Kerley, one of the better slot players in the league.
Wide receiver Julian Edelman didn't make the trip either, according to the Boston Herald's Jeff Howe. Edelman suffered a concussion over the past week and didn't pass the necessary protocols to be active. He has also been fighting a thigh injury the past few weeks, so the added time will help. Look for both Danny Amendola and Tim Wright to see expanded time on the field in his place.
Edelman is due a $500,000 bonus if he catches 85 more yards this year, so it's likely that we haven't seen the last of him in the regular season.
The Patriots have also announced that running back LeGarrette Blount will be out for the game. This looks to be a bigger game for Jonas Gray, but as this is likely a Shane Vereen game, expect running back Brandon Bolden (and maybe even James White) to see more time on the field.
Per Howe, guard Dan Connolly made the trip, which would likely make him a game day decision.
