Patriots vs. Jets: Fantasy start / sit advice for week 16

Patriots fantasy football start/sit advice for the team's week 16 match-up against the New York Jets.

Start / sit advice for the New England Patriots in their week 16 match-up against the New York Jets:

Start

Rob Gronkowski, TE: Duh.

Brandon LaFell, WR: With Julian Edelman out, LaFell figures to be the primary benefactor at WR. He's going to get targeted. A lot. He's a borderline WR1 for today.

Jonas Gray, RB: With LeGarrette Blount out with a shoulder injury, Gray will take on the majority of the Patriots' "big back" snaps on Sunday. He should be in line for 15-25 carries.

Tom Brady, QB: Rex Ryan helped lead the only defense to hold Tom Brady to a sub-60% completion rate since week one. But Brady still threw for three touchdowns in their most recent match-up.

Sit

Danny Amendola, WR: One of Amendola or Wright will see a spike in targets today. Wright has been stealing snaps from Amendola as is, but there's no question Amendola will get some of Edelman's targets today. If you have Edelman and need a desperation WR3, Amendola is an option in PPR.

Tim Wright, TE: Wright has seen his playing time increase in recent weeks, but it hasn't lead to a jump in targets or production. That makes him hard to trust as anything more than a TE2, even with Edelman out of action.

Shane Vereen, RB: Vereen figures to be a big part of the game plan today, but just hasn't received the carries of late to be relied on as a RB2. He still holds PPR FLEX value, however.
