At the midway point of the game, the New York Jets surprisingly hold a 10-7 lead on the New England Patriots.
Three of the Patriots' first five drives resulted in three and outs. Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was sacked four times, the most since week one, due to a combination of poor execution and communication along the offensive line. When the Patriots have gone big, the Jets have played better. When the Patriots have spread it out, the Jets have played disciplined on the back-end and gotten after Brady.
Defensively, the Patriots haven't allowed many big plays, but aren't getting any pressure on Geno Smith. Smith has settled in, and found tight end Jeff Cumberland for a touchdown in the second quarter after Patrick Chung overplayed the run on a play action.
On the final drive of the first half, Geno Smith completed eight straight passes, including a pair to Percy Harvin with Darrelle Revis in coverage. They settled for a field goal and a 10-7 halftime lead.
