Depending on the outcome of the tonight’s Monday Night Football match-up between the Denver Broncos and the Cincinnati Bengals, the timing of the Patriots’ week 17 game against the Bills could change.
While the Bills were eliminated from playoff contention with their loss to the Raiders yesterday, the Patriots still have homefield advantage on the line.
If the Bengals defeat the Broncos tonight, it will clinch homefield advantage throughout the playoffs for the Patriots. If the Broncos win, the Patriots will either need to win or have the Broncos lose next week to secure the number one seed.
That being said, if the Broncos do win tonight, the Patriots vs. Bills game will be flexed out to 4:25 PM ET this Sunday. The Broncos also kick-off at 4:25, so this scheduling shift would keep week 17 meaningful for both teams.
If the Bengals win tonight, the Patriots and Bills will play at 1:00 PM ET as currently scheduled.
