Patriots fantasy football start / sit advice vs. Bills

Patriots fantasy start / sit advice for the Patriots week 17 match-up against the Bills.

Although the New England Patriots do not have anything to play for in week 17, many fantasy owners still do. There's a lot of uncertainty around which Patriots players will or will not play and for how long. That being said, he's our best shot at who to start and sit from the Patriots roster:

Start

Tim Wright, TE: Wright is likely to see his most expansive role of the season today. He'll mix in as usual with the starters, but will become the primary receiving tight end once Gronkowski takes his seat today. He's a TE1, for today only (but that's all that matters at this point, right?).

Danny Amendola, WR: Julian Edelman may end up sitting this one out entirely, Brandon LaFell could as well. That makes Amendola an interesting WR3 play in PPR. But that's PPR only.

Brian Tyms, WR: I'm probably not starting Tyms as a WR3 in any format. However, if you're in a daily league, Tyms is an intriguing option as a dart throw considering with rapport with Jimmy Garoppolo.

James White, RB: Like Tyms, do not start White in your regular leagues. But he's an interesting daily-league dart throw. Gray is out, Blount might sit too. Vereen isn't going to get more than a few carries. White will probably split time with Bolden, but has PPR upside.

Sit

Tom Brady, QB: Brady will probably play less than a half. Even if he plays more, it won't be the whole game. You're better off looking elsewhere.

Jimmy Garoppolo, QB: Don't let that elsewhere be Jimmy Garoppolo. Jimmy will probably play a lot, but there's no telling how much.

Rob Gronkowski, TE: This will be the only time we'll have Gronk here. But honestly, if you don't have any other options, he might still be a better option than what's available on waivers, even if he only plays a couple of drives.

Julian Edelman, WR: Edelman may or may not play as he recovers from a concussion. Even if he does suit up, he won't play much.

Brandon LaFell, WR: Ditto for LaFell as he recovers from a shoulder injury.

LeGarrette Blount, RB: He's questionable. Because of that, even with Jonas Gray out, he'll be very limited even if he is active.

Brandon Bolden, RB: Had his best game last week but could be in line for 15-20 carries. However, the Bills are stingy up front, and the Patriots might want to ride the rookie White.
