The New England Patriots announced their inactives for their week 17 match-up against the Buffalo Bills:
Rob Gronkowski, TE; Dont'a Hightower, LB; Dan Connolly, OL; Julian Edelman, RB; Jonas Gray, RB; Brandon Browner, CB; Sebastian Vollmer, OL
The biggest surprise here is Rob Gronkowski. He is fully healthy now, but the Patriots are holding him out as a precaution. This goes to show exactly valuable Gronk is for a postseason run, but you knew that.
Julian Edelman is also inactive as he recovers from concussion. He will be back for the divisional playoffs. In a bit of a surprise, Brandon LaFell is active. We will see how much he plays, but it might not be a whole lot considering Josh Boyce and Brian Tyms are healthy and can take reps.
Dont'a Hightower is out after returning to the lineup two weeks ago. Like Gronk, the Patriots are holding him out as a precaution.
