ESPN's Field Yates has announced the Patriots corresponding roster move after placing wide receiver Aaron Dobson on the injured reserve. New England has activated defensive tackle Sealver Siliga from the Injured Reserve (Designated for Return) list.
Siliga was placed on the IR-DR list after sustaining a foot injury in the first half against Oakland back in Week 3. Siliga will bolster the Patriots defensive line as they head down the season's final stretch.
The defensive tackle joins a strong defensive tackle unit alongside Vince Wilfork, Alan Branch, Chris Jones, and rookie Dominique Easley. It's quite possible the team will feature a heavier front to compensate for the injury to Dont'a Hightower, who is questionable for this Sunday's game.
Siliga can play the nose, which would allow Wilfork and Branch to play 3-4 defensive end and, in the nickel, could let Akeem Ayers and Rob Ninkovich play more of a multiple coverage role to disguise coverages and pressures.
And yes, this is a picture of Siliga sacking a Chargers quarterback.
