With the market for free agent cornerback Aqib Talib likely ballooning due to various deals with other top players in the league at the position, it looks like the Patriots may have shifted their main focus to re-signing wide receiver Julian Edelman.
Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald reports that negotiations are ongoing between Edelman and the team, and that the Patriots are "getting" aggressive" in negotiations:
Negotiations between the Patriots and Edelman are ongoing. Pats getting aggressive in final 24 hours before free agency.

This is still a pretty vague report, and doesn't really give any indication of how close the two sides are to striking an agreement. Nonetheless, it's interesting to see that Edelman is the primary focus for the team on the eve of free agency.
It's hard to say what kind of contract Edelman will land. However, the five year, $31 million deal the team signed Danny Amendola to last offseason would likely be a good starting point.
