The Patriots have signed another rookie from their 2014 Draft class, agreeing to terms with offensive tackle Cameron Fleming. The New England Patriots have signed their second of nine draft picks, reportedly agreeing to terms with former Stanford offensive lineman Cameron Fleming.
Fleming was drafted by the Patriots with the 140th pick in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft. His deal is reportedly worth $2.5 million over four years. Nick Underhill of Masslive.com writes that Fleming's deal includes a $300,584 signing bonus and base salaries of $420,000 in 2014, $490,000 in 2015, $600,000 in 2016, and $690,000 in 2017.
Fleming is a smart player who has a pretty high ceiling for a fourth round draft selection. Playing behind Nate Solder and Sebastian Vollmer, he'll have plenty of time to develop too, although he could potentially play his way into a role as the team's #3 or #4 tackle in 2014.
Fleming also becomes the second rookie from the team's 2014 draft class to sign. Defensive end and 6th round draft choice Zach Moore signed earlier in the day.
