Alfonzo Dennard off PUP

More good news on the New England injury front as Alfonzo Dennard returns to practice in full.

Andrew Weber-USA TODAY Sports

In yet another piece of injury-related good news, Alfonzo Dennard was on the practice field for the first time today after opening up camp on the PUP following his offseason shoulder surgery.

Dennard's presence is especially important given the four game suspension that Brandon Browner will be serving to start the year; however, even without Browner, the Patriots have some very nice depth at the cornerback position. Dennard is likely slated to start opposite Darrelle Revis on the outside, with Kyle Arrington on slot duty. Look for Logan Ryan to see some time as well, as he showed flashes last season and could round out the secondary nicely.

It has been so long since the Patriots have gone into training camp with a secondary full of names I recognize that I'm not quite sure how to feel at the moment. I guess our best bet at this juncture is to be thankful that Dennard is back and look forward to watching the secondary continue to gel over the next month or so.
