The New England Patriots have announced their full 10-man practice squad:
DE Jake Bequette, QB McLeod Bethel-Thompson, WR Josh Boyce, LB Ja'Gared Davis, S Kanorris Davis, RB Jonas Gray, LS Charley Hughlett, OL Chris Martin, DL Deontae Skinner and DB Daxton Swanson.
After all of the team's roster cuts passed through waivers yesterday, the team essentially had free pickings on who they wanted to bring to their practice squad.
The list of 10 players includes a pair of former mid-round draft selections in defensive end Jake Bequette and receiver Josh Boyce. Bequette hasn't exactly flashed in his two years with the team, but is a hard worker and could still be developed. Boyce still has loads of potential, but just wasn't on the same level as some of the team's other young receivers.
McLeod Bethel-Thompson, formerly of Sacramento State, is a developmental arm who has spent time with the Dolphins, Vikings and 49ers since going undrafted in 2011.
LB Ja'Gared Davis, DB Daxton Swanson, and RB Jonas Gray were three other big gets. Davis and Gray were considered pretty good bets to make the final roster on cut-down day.
Charley Hughlett is the only true long snapper now on the team. It wouldn't be a surprise to see him activated before Sunday's game against the Dolphins.
