Tomorrow, the New England Patriots will take on the Minnesota Vikings, who are coming off of a dominating 34-6 victory over the St. Louis Rams. The Patriots of, course, are coming off a tough divisional loss and second half collapse against the Dolphins.
Although it's only week two, this game could be considered somewhat of a must-win for the Patriots. Starting 0-2 is a difficult hole to climb out of, and the Patriots have a very tough slate from weeks 4-9 before their bye (and in reality, after that as well).
The Vikings, even without Adrian Peterson, have a big-time playmaker in Cordarelle Patterson, a talented front four on defense, and a solid first-time head coach in Mike Zimmer.
Nonetheless, I'm predicting a Patriots win. I think the Patriots will make some adjustments along the offensive line (hopefully including Bryan Stork) and will work to establish the running game early. If that works, Brady's play-action will become that much more effective. I also think the team is angry from the backlash from their week one loss, and they'll have a chip on their collective shoulder heading into tomorrow. They're going to be tough to beat.
Greg's Prediction: Patriots 27 Vikings 17
