Who is the Patriots' Go-To Leader?

For this week's GMC Playbook question, Marshall Faulk poses the question: who is the one leader that keeps your team focused on the field:

The Patriots are a franchise fortunate to have many on-field leaders. Tom Brady is the obvious choice. He's a perfectionist, and demands nothing less from his teammates. Dan Connolly, voted a team captain by his teammates, is a leader along the offensive line.

Defensively, the Patriots have a few great leaders. But let's focus on the captains: Vince Wilfork, Jerod Mayo, and Devin McCourty. Each player is a leader at a different level of the defense, and each has their own leadership style. If I had to pick between the three, I'd still say Big Vince is the go-to leader of this defense. After all, he was one of the main leaders when Mayo first arrived in 2008.

Ultimately, in the midst of adversity, if I'm picking one player on the Patriots roster that the team would turn to, I still think it's Brady. But Vince Wilfork isn't too far behind.
