Dan Kadar of Mocking the Draft has released his latest 2015 NFL Mock Draft. Kadar recently had the Patriots looking at running back at the tail end of the first round, he now has the Patriots addressing a much greater position of need, the interior of the offensive line. With the 31st pick in the first round, Kadar mocks the Patriots Florida State guard Tre’ Jackson.

The Patriots could be in the market for a guard this offseason and Jackson happens to be the next best one on the board. He's a powerful blocker who can handle strong defensive tackles by himself.

Jackson is a mammoth-sized guard in the mold of Marcus Cannon at 6-4 and over 330lbs. Heading into the season, he was projected as the top offensive guard in the 2015 draft. Over the course of the year, his stock fell a bit and the first round feels a little bit high for him. He has also been primarily a right guard in his FSU career, and the Patriots might want to draft someone who could play LG if they used a day one pick on the interior line.

Jackson’s ability to get out to the second level may dictate whether or not the Patriots would use a first round selection on him. Some thought he played a bit heavier his senior season at Florida State. He has good initial quickness, but the Patriots do ask their guards to pull quite a bit.

Nonetheless, Jackson is an experienced prospect with good awareness who would anchor well against the bigger defensive linemen of the AFC East.
