Per footballzebras.com, Walt Anderson will be the referee for Sunday's AFC Championship Game between the New England Patriots and the Indianapolis Colts. The site has to say the following about Anderson:
Anderson will be working his 16th postseason assignment, which includes 8 Wild Card Playoffs, 2 Divisional Playoffs, 5 Conference Championships, and Super Bowls XXXV and XLV. Anderson is the coordinator of officials in the Big 12 Conference, and was a forerunner in implementing an eighth officiating position, the center judge.
Anderson was the referee in two of New England's regular season games this year. He was assigned for the season opener in Miami against the Dolphins, a game the Patriots lost 33-20, and for the team's week 9 game against the Denver Broncos (a 43-21 Patriots win). In each of those games the Patriots were penalized nine times; losing 100 and 71 yards in the process (for a breakdown of the penalties, click here).
While Anderson will work the AFC's title game, his colleague Tony Corrente will be the referee for the NFC's equivalent between the Seattle Seahawks and the Green Bay Packers.
