New England Patriots Super Bowl Send-Off Rally: The Details

Gather, you people of New England! Come and support your team!

Tomorrow, the New England Patriots will travel to Arizona, where they will face the NFC Champion Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLIX. Before the team leaves New England, however, it will take part in a send-off rally hosted by Boston's mayor, Marty J. Walsh.

The rally will take place tomorrow, January 26, at 11 a.m. in City Hall Plaza in downtown Boston.

The following members of the Patriots organization are scheduled to address the fans:

Robert Kraft, Patriots chairman and CEO

Jonathan Kraft, Patriots team president

Bill Belichick, head coach

Tom Brady, quarterback

Dan Connolly, offensive guard

Vince Wilfork, defensive tackle

Devin McCourty, free safety

Matthew Slater, wide receiver/special teams ace

The alert reader will have noticed that the players, who are scheduled to speak, are the five team captains.

Those who are in the Boston area and find the time to attend the send-off rally can reach City Hall via public transportation:

Take the MTBA...

  • Green line to Park St or Haymarket;
  • Blue line to State St or Bowdoin;
  • Orange to State Street or Haymarket;
  • Red line to Park Street station and transfer to the Green towards Lechmere, or walk from Downtown Crossing;
  • or the 92 and 93 buses which stop outside City Hall on Congress Street.
