O Canada: Patriots are the Most Popular Team North of the Border

The Patriots are a global franchise and they're the most popular with the neighbors up north.

The Patriots have staked their claim as the most popular team in Canada, showing that winning is pretty much the only thing fans care about.

New England picked up (a coincidental) 12% of the votes, even though the reigning champion Seattle Seahawks claimed the top spot in merchandise sales. The Patriots had to settle for second.

The next four teams, the Packers, the 49ers, the Broncos, and the Steelers, all have rich traditions of being a winning franchise, even while the hapless Raiders managed to come in 7th. The Bills, always linked to Toronto, fell to a surprising 10th, even after a winning season.

For the second straight season, quarterback Tom Brady's jersey was the top seller in Canada.

The Patriots are always happy to spread their global footprint and their popularity on an international scale has contributed to their #2 ranked $2.6 billion valuation and the top ranked growth of any team in the league.
