Honorable Mentions: Safeties Devin McCourty, Duron Harmon, and Patrick Chung were absolutely lights out in the secondary and they limited the Dolphins on the deep half of the field for the majority of the day. Wide receiver Julian Edelman found the end zone twice.
Third Star: Tight end Rob Gronkowski collected 6 receptions for 113 yards and a touchdown. He was a beast as a run blocker and helped out as a pass blocker. The Patriots have found a way to get the ball into his hands on early to get him involved.
Second Star: Defensive end Chandler Jones leads the NFL in sacks. When is the last time you can think of a Patriots defender leading the league in sacks? He was defeating triple teams and he was an ace in stifling the Dolphins rushing attack.
First Star: Quarterback Tom Brady was 26/38 for 356 yards and 4 touchdowns. He had no interceptions. He currently has 20 touchdowns and just one interception this season. This is history, folks. We're watching a new level of play at quarterback.
