The New England Patriots got off to a smooth start against the New York Giants in week ten, with a beautiful 14-play drive on the opening possession to take a quick 7-0 lead. Tom Brady capped off the drive with a goal-to-go touchdown throw to Scott Chandler.
From that point on, it was all Giants. On their first drive, Eli Manning found Odell Beckham Jr, who beat Malcolm Butler for an 87-yard score. Beckham had separation on the score, but Devin McCourty took a very poor angle which also took Butler out of the play.
Eli Manning threw for 251 yards and two touchdowns. The Patriots, despite a strip sack turnover from Chandler Jones, haven't been able to produce much of a pass rush.
The Patriots also had a key injury to receiver Julian Edelman. He was hurt on the final play of the first quarter, and the Patriots' offense has not been the same since.
Because the Giants deferred the opening kick-off, they will also get the ball to start the second half.
