After 30 minutes of action, the New England Patriots lead the Denver Broncos 14-7 on Sunday Night Football.

The Patriots dominated the majority of the half. The Broncos could not move the ball consistently through

On offense, the Patriots have been very pass heavy. The offensive line, with Sebastian Vollmer back at left tackle and Marcus Cannon at right, has performed significantly better than a week ago.

Brady has been very precise on the night, completing 13 of 18 passes with two touchdowns. The first was on the opening drive to Rob Gronkowski. The second was to Scott Chandler and came later in the half following a Chandler Jones interception that started the Patriots in the red zone (Jabaal Sheard hit Brock Osweiler's arm to put the ball in position for Jones to grab it).

Defensively, standouts have included Rob Ninkovich, Alan Branch, and Malcolm Butler.

On the injury front, Patriots linebacker Dont'a Hightower went down with a knee injury late in the first half and is questionable to return. The Patriots are already thin at linebacker without Jamie Collins, losing an All-Pro talent like Hightower would be a major blow.

The Patriots will get the ball to begin the second half.
