Injury Update: Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski OUT with a Knee Injury

The game isn't yet over, but the final score doesn't matter. This is a loss.

New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski was carted off the field with a knee injury and declared OUT. The knee is the same that was previously injured.

The Patriots were driving to drain the clock, but Broncos safety Darian Stewart, who had been tackling low all evening, hit Gronkowski right in the knee. Gronkowski immediately fell to the ground, writhing in pain.

Gronkowski had collected six receptions for 88 yards and a touchdown prior to his injury. The All Pro tight end will join Dion Lewis, Julian Edelman, and Danny Amendola on the sideline.

Offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels is running out of offensive players to field and quarterback Tom Brady can only trust Brandon LaFell at this point in time. Running back Brandon Bolden is the team's 2nd leading receiver.

We'll continue to monitor this injury moving forward, but the outlook is not good.
