GNOTD: Rob Gronkowski "Unlikely to Miss More Than One Game"

The Patriots All-World tight end has apparently dodged a bullet yesterday.

Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports

When Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski went down during yesterday's 30-24 overtime loss against the Denver Broncos, it looked like he suffered yet another devastating knee injury. It looked like 2013 all over again.

However, initial reports were slightly optimistic and it seems as if the All-Pro might come back sooner than anyone anticipated yesterday - at least according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport:

Sounds like #Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (knee) is unlikely to miss more than one game, I'm told. In fact, he may not even miss that.

This definitely is good knows coming out of Foxboro today. Given the Patriots' 10-1 record and the fact that they have a one-game lead in the AFC's playoff race, the team will definitely not rush the tight end back. Instead, they will likely give him enough time to let him get to 100% again. Therefore, it wouldn't be a surprise to see him miss next week's game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
