Patriots vs. Redskins Inactives: Jamie Collins out for Patriots

The New England Patriots have announced their week nine inactives, and linebacker Jamie Collins is out with an illness.

Jamie Collins showed up late in the week on the Patriots injury report with an illness, and will now miss the New England Patriots' week nine match-up against the Washington Redskins. The Patriots full week nine inactives:

Tre Jackson, G

Jabaal Sheard, DE

Keshawn Martin, WR

Marcus Cannon, OL

Jamie Collins, LB

James White, RB

Trey Flowers, DL

Without Collins, the Patriots will likely turn to Jonathan Freeny as the other starter. Veteran Jerod Mayo will likely step into the base defense, when the Patriots choose to utilize 4-3 personnel.

The Patriots did get some good news - as Shaq Mason will return at guard today - Marcus Cannon remains out. Mason, banged up with a knee injury, might be the Patriots' reserve offensive lineman while Bryan Stork could start in his first game off of the short-term IR.

On the Redskins' front, cornerback D'Angelo Hall is out for today. However, DeSean Jackson officially returns to their line-up:
