GNOTD: Julian Edelman Returns to Patriots Practice

The Patriots' best wide receiver is back on the field.

The New England Patriots' offensive reinforcements are on their way. Yesterday, tight end Rob Gronkowski returned to practice after injuring his knee two weeks ago. Today, the team's best wide practiced with his teammates for the first time in nearly a month.

According to multiple media reports, Julian Edelman returned to the practice fields today.

Edelman broke his foot during the Patriots' week 10 game against the New York Giants on November 15. Ever since his injury, the offense struggled to move the ball consistently down the field. While it soon turned out that the receiver's broken foot did not threat to end his season, it was expected that Edelman wouldn't return until the end of the regular season.

However, today he made his return - at least to the practice fields. Of course, practicing does not mean that Edelman will be declared active on Sunday against the Houston Texans or even the weeks after. It is still very encouraging to see, though, as he is the Patriots' best wideout and a key to their offensive success.
