The New England Patriots opened as 12.5-point favorites over the Tennessee Titans, but that quickly climbed to 14.0-points at most oddsmakers, and is as high as 15.5-points at a few, per OddsShark. The over/under opened at 46.5.
OddsShark also has 64% of the money being placed on the Patriots, which is fairly common when New England takes on a bad team, and 58% of the money has been placed on the over.
The Patriots are 12-0 when favored by 15.5 or more, with the last two games taking place in 2011 against the hapless Indianapolis Colts and Kansas City Chiefs. The Patriots haven't been this heavy of a favorite in any of the past four seasons. One of these games was the 2008 season opener against the Chiefs, which saw quarterback Tom Brady lost for the season.
New England will hopefully walk away with a victory as Tom Brady and the Patriots haven't lost a meaningful regular season game at home to an AFC opponent since 2006.
