With two weeks left in the regular season, the New England Patriots seem to be moving in the right direction with regards to health.
Linebacker Jonathan Freeny (hand) was the only player absent from practice as tight end Rob Gronkowski returned to the field after missing practice to attend a funeral. The only other change was the downgrade of cornerback Justin Coleman from "FULL" to "LIMITED" with his hand injury.
WR Danny Amendola (knee), TE Scott Chandler (knee), SS Patrick Chung (foot), SS Nate Ebner (ankle), WR Julian Edelman (foot), LB Dont'a Hightower (knee), OG Josh Kline (shoulder), WR Brandon LaFell (foot), and FS Devin McCourty (ankle) were all present as LIMITED in practice.
DE Chandler Jones (abdomen) was FULL.
New England has no need to rush any player back to the field and it's clearly a positive sign that nearly every active player is at practice. Head coach Bill Belichick gave the players Friday off from practice so they can spend time with their families.
