The Patriots former offensive line coach Dante Scarnecchia is making the trip to the NFL Combine this week. This is extremely important.
Last season, Scarnecchia was responsible for working out 4th round picks center Bryan Stork and tackle Cameron Fleming. He believed that they both possessed high football intelligence and made sure that those back in the scouting department were aware of his sign off.
Scar also spoke with the coaches at Florida State and relayed back how well-regarded Stork was in the college organization.
Both players were integral in the Patriots Super Bowl run this season and the fact that the New England front office is sending Scar to the Combine is a good sign for the potential talent next season.
The Patriots have a major need at guard and any player that Scar meets will jump to the top of the list for film review. If he can repeat the results of the last draft, the Patriots won't have any trouble on the offensive line for a long time to come.
