The New England Patriots and Brandon Browner appear to be going separate ways. Mike Garafolo of FS1 reports:
Patriots have not informed CB Brandon Browner they will exercise his option, therefore he's a free agent, source says.

News had broken yesterday that the Patriots had asked Browner to take a pay cut and were allowing him to explore his value with other teams.
Apparently, Browner liked what he saw on the market. He informed the Patriots he would not be taking a pay cut. The Patriots, set to save nearly $6 million by letting Browner go, therefore chose to turn down the option.
Theoretically, by moving on from Browner, the Patriots will have enough money to lock up Darrelle Revis. If the Patriots lose both, then letting Browner hit free agency will be a move more heavily scrutinized.
We’ll see. Stay tuned for a whole lot more.
