The New England Patriots have lost cornerback Darrelle Revis to their division rival, the New York Jets. Revis' agents took to Twitter to make the announcement:
Pending legal, @Revis24 has agreed to terms with the New York Jets #RevisIsland #nyjets

This is brutal news for the Patriots, as from all indications they were not that far off in guaranteed money from the Jets. Revis got his Super Bowl, but chose the money to return to the Jets.
And just like like, the Patriots are suddenly without their two starting cornerbacks from Super Bowl XLIX (Brandon Browner's option was not exercised earlier today).
Without a question, the Patriots secondary has taken a major step back. Now, they will need to find a way to rebuild it.
Much, much more to come. On a side-note, the Patriots have one of the stronger tampering cases in NFL history. With the NFL looking to crack down on this, it will be interesting to see how they approach the situation.
