The New England Patriots have made a move to add tight end depth to their roster. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Patriots have agreed to terms with world-renowned Patriot killer Scott Chandler.
Chandler, at 6’7" and 260 lbs, has spent the last five seasons with the Bills after stints with the Chargers, Cowboys, and Giants.
It will be interesting to see how he co-exists with the Patriots current tight end depth in Michael Hoomanwanui and Tim Wright. He’s a better blocker than Wright, but probably not equal to Hoomanawanui in that area. At the same time, Wright offers some more versatility as a receiver.
My reaction when news broke of the Chandler signing:
Scott Chandler to the Patriots might be the most Belichick move I've ever seen Belichick make.

Scott Chandler's contract: 10 years/$100MM. I'm just assuming. He's the greatest TE of all-time, right? From what I've seen at least...

The $100 million contract has yet to be confirmed.
