1. Edelman was a College Quarterback
After an opening round scare against Julian Edelman (yeah that happened) with a 55% to 45% margin, Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola cruised through the Matt Light division with at least 86% of the vote in the following three rounds.
This is the play that everyone was waiting for through Edelman's entire career. Everyone knew it was happening and there was a certain peace that it was going to be successful. The mental fortitude required from Josh McDaniels to call this play at a crucial junction in the playoffs is unmatched in the Bill Belichick era.
Julian Edelman's pass defined the Patriots season up until the Super Bowl. It means so much.
6. Opposite Ends of the Spectrum
In somewhat of an upset, Tom Brady and Richard Sherman knocked out Rob Gronkowski's tremendous one-handed catch against the Broncos in a 54% to 46% vote. This GIF beat out a scrambling Tom Brady in an identical 54% to 46% margin. Yet here we are, with this GIF representing the Troy Brown Division.
I guess this GIF is fitting for the tournament. Brady is loving football and is happy to be here. Sherman represents all the other GIFs knocked out along the way. This is the greatest reaction GIF of the year and it will live on forever.
