1. Malcolm Butler Saves the Season
1. Edelman was a College Quarterback
I don't think this tournament could have played out any more perfectly. These are easily the two most memorable plays of the entire season. They received the first and third most votes over the course of the season, with Rob Gronkowski's one-handed grab against the Broncos coming in second and falling short in its bracket quadrant.
Julian Edelman's pass to Danny Amendola saved the Patriots season, with Josh McDaniels calling for one of the gutsiest plays in playoff memory. The former college quarterback couldn't have delivered a better strike, while Amendola put forth one of the biggest redemption games in Boston sports.
On the other side, Malcolm Butler's interception will forever be considered one of the top plays in NFL history. It changed the outcome of the Super Bowl in the most improbable manner and changed how the records will remember Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. It is a deserving favorite.
This has been one heck of a season. Thanks for following along.
