Pats Football Fans Mock Draft

New, comments

Myself and 7 other posters from the Pats Football Fans Blog will be working on a mock draft.

Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

In case you want to do more draft talk, there will be another mock draft scheduled today starting at noon EST. For those who have the time and want to follow along, this spreadsheet is where the mock draft will be taking place on. The mock will take place over 4 days to do 7 rounds because of my very busy schedules on Friday and Saturday. Each person will handle one division, where I'll take the reigns for the AFC East. This mock will have trades and will also include future picks, whose value will be set at the median value of the draft picks in each round (average the 16th and 17th picks of each round). The basis for draft pick values in a trade will be coming from Draft Countdown. While the mock draft is ongoing, there will be an open thread for you to discuss and ridicule with each passing pick.

Clock:

  • 1st: 8 minutes
  • 2nd-3rd: 5 minutes
  • 4th-5th: 3 minutes
  • 6th-7th: 2 minutes
In case you forget, the times that each round will start and how much time there is per pick are listed on the sheet. To keep track of time, I will have a timer running from Google. When the timer runs out, the same rules as the real draft apply and the next time can be eligible to submit their pick ahead of the team whose time expired. Other rules in the draft are listed on the first tab. The spreadsheet is currently set for the general public to view, but not to edit. Hope you enjoy the mock.
