Although there were initially reports that the New England Patriots had traded the #32 selection to the Houston Texans, the team apparently reversed course and decided to select a player. With the 32nd overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the New England Patriots selected Texas defensive lineman Malcom Brown.
Brown, standing at over 6'2" and 319 lbs, is a big, strong, explosive, and versatile defensive lineman that will be able to play in a variety of roles for the Patriots. At 32, he was arguably the best player available as well - many had him as a top 15-20 player in this draft.
Brown will likely be able to play in both three and four man fronts. He can play 5-tech, nose, 3-tech. He has the frame and potential to be effective as a 2-gap player. He's certainly explosive enough to be a key disrupter in sub-packages.
We'll have a lot more on the selection soon. hat are your initial thoughts on the selection of Brown?
