Top 100 Players of 2015: #91 Patriots WR Julian Edelman

The Patriots top receiver cracks the league list of top 100 players.

The NFL Network has started to announce their top 100 players of 2015, opening up with those ranked 91st to 100th. The New England Patriots have a familiar face coming in at 91st.

Patriots wide receiver and punt returner Julian Edelman is starting to gain some respect around the league and cracked the top 100 for the first time in his career. A top team official stated that Edelman is the toughest cover in the league over the off-season and it's reflected in his overall ranking.

Fullback James Develin gets most of the spotlight when the players discuss Edelman's ability, which is kind of funny because it's JAMES DEVELIN.

Edelman beats out a pair of rookie sensations in DT Aaron Donald and LB C.J. Mosely, and also tops wide receivers Emmanuel Sanders (95th) and Randall Cobb (100th). Edelman also beats fellow elite playoff quarterback Joe Flacco, who Edelman famously outdueled this past post-season.

Congratulations to Edelman for gaining recognition and for being one of the best bargains in all of football.

For the record, former Patriots kicker Adam Vinatieri came in at 98th on the list.
