Pete Prisco's Top 100: Six 2014 Patriots Make the List

New, comments

The Patriots won the Super Bowl and they had three players in the top 10 of CBS's Pete Prisco's list of best players.

Who were the best players on the New England Patriots in 2014? How are they looking as we head into 2015? CBS's Pete Prisco created a list of his top 100 players in the NFL and there are plenty of Patriots to make the list. Head over to his article to see his reasoning.

3. QB Tom Brady

5. TE Rob Gronkowski

8. CB Darrelle Revis

27. S Devin McCourty

31. LB Jamie Collins

74. LB Dont'a Hightower

He has Texans DL J.J. Watt as the top player in the league, with QB Aaron Rodgers as the number two. This isn't a list of most valuable. It's about which player is best. From Prisco's perspective, there's no one better than Watt.

There are a few Patriots missing from the list, like WR Julian Edelman, and maybe RT Sebastian Vollmer, but it's hard to argue against these players on the list. I might rank Hightower above Collins, although it wouldn't be crazy to see Collins continue his upwards trajectory to become the best linebacker on the team in 2015.

I think Hightower is ranked a little low, but there's a wide tier of players from 30th-80th that could all be considered equals.

What are your thoughts on the rankings?
