New England Patriots Announce Training Camp Dates and Location

The New England Patriots have one of the earliest camp dates.

The NFL has announced the dates and locations for training camps across the league. The New England Patriots have their training camp at Gillette Stadium, which is pretty standard. Rookies will report on July 23rd, while Veterans will report on July 29th.

The July 23rd date for rookies is the fourth earliest date in the league, behind the Ravens, Browns, and Saints who have a July 22nd date. This will force the rookies back to New England and keep them in the area for further training.

While Gillette is par for the New England course, other teams are traveling to unique locations for their camps. The New Orleans Saints are going to White Sulphur Springs in West Virginia, while the Dallas Cowboys are moving to Oxnard, California.

The Patriots are allowed to have two-a-days, but aren't allowed to spend more than four hours a day on the field. The padded practices can last no longer than three hours per day.
