DeflateGate: Roger Goodell Could Decide on Tom Brady Appeal Next Week

The NFL's Commissioner could make his decision on the Patriots quarterback's appeal next week.

Joe Camporeale-USA TODAY Sports

Patriots owner Robert Kraft is currently in Sun Valley, Idaho, for a, not kidding, "summer camp for billionaires", along with such visionaries as Tesla's Elon Musk, Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg and Sheryl Sandberg, and Apple's Tim Cook. Past deals from this event include Amazon's founder Jeff Bezos' acquisition of the Washington Post, the Comcast acquisition of NBC Universal, and the Verizon purchase of AOL.

A deal that hopefully takes place will be between Kraft and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, who is also in attendance.

While Patriots fans should know better than to get their hopes up for a happy ending, as Goodell is the one responsible for the hatchet job of an investigation, as well as for signing off on the initial punishment for quarterback Tom Brady, an early ruling by Goodell can get the ball rolling for a temporary injunction by the NFL Players Association, to allow Brady to play Week 1, as the court systems cleans up Goodell's mess.
