After an offday yesterday, the New England Patriots returned to the practice fields today for training camp session number 13. It was a beautiful day in Foxboro, and a hot one. According to Bill Belichick exactly "what we need". While the session was closed to the public, it was open to members of the media.

Working through the Twittersphere, here are some notes about today's session:

-- The following players participated on a limited basis: Julian Edelman, Aaron Dobson, Scott Chandler, Caylin Hauptmann, Travaris Cadet.

-- Rookie Tre' Jackson was carted off the field after suffering an injury to his right hip/abdomen/back. A situation worth monitoring.

Offensive Notes

-- Brandon Gibson continues his strong last week: he made a nice one-handed catch as well as a catch over Malcolm Butler.

Defensive Notes

-- The secondary often consisted of the following players: Malcolm Butler, Tarell Brown, Devin McCourty, Patrick Chung, Duron Harmon.
