After an offday yesterday, the New England Patriots returned to the practice fields today for training camp session number 13. It was a beautiful day in Foxboro, and a hot one. According to Bill Belichick exactly "what we need". While the session was closed to the public, it was open to members of the media.

Attendance
-- The following players did not practice: Brandon LaFell, Darryl Roberts, Dane Flecher, Ryan Wendell, Bryan Stork, Rufus Johnson, Joe Vellano, Trey Flowers, Jake Bequette, Chris Jones.
-- The following players returned to practice: Dekoda Watson, Eric Martin, Marcus Cannon, Logan Ryan, James White, Nate Solder.
-- The following players participated on a limited basis: Julian Edelman, Aaron Dobson, Scott Chandler, Caylin Hauptmann, Travaris Cadet.
Injuries
-- Rookie Tre' Jackson was carted off the field after suffering an injury to his right hip/abdomen/back. A situation worth monitoring.
Offensive Notes
-- According to Doug Kyed the quarterbacks performed as follows:

-- Ryan Lindley had a rather inactive day.
-- Brady took every meaningful snap of the session.
-- Josh Kline saw a lot of action at center, with starter Bryan Stork still out.
-- Both starting tackles Nate Solder and Sebastian Vollmer saw plenty of work.
-- After Jackson left practice, rookie David Andrews took his spot at right guard.
-- Brandon Gibson continues his strong last week: he made a nice one-handed catch as well as a catch over Malcolm Butler.
Defensive Notes
-- Cornerback Tarell Brown, who left Saturday's session, was back on the field and pretty busy. First, he intercepted Jimmy Garoppolo. On the subsequent play, he also picked off Tom Brady.
-- Duron Harmon spent most of the practice session at free safety.
-- The secondary often consisted of the following players: Malcolm Butler, Tarell Brown, Devin McCourty, Patrick Chung, Duron Harmon.
Miscellaneous
-- Former Tampa Bay and Rutgers head coach Greg Schiano was seen on the sidelines.
-- The team focused on situational work.
-- LeGarrette Blount wore number 74 today. The number is also worn by rookie defensive end Trey Flowers.
-- The team donned full pads during the two-hour session.
-- The session ended with conditioning work.
