The New England Patriots have a depleted wide receiver corps at the moment, due to a slew of injuries at the position that has left Danny Amendola as essentially the only man standing. That being said, they could be looking to sign a veteran who was once a very familiar foe: former Colts receiver Reggie Wayne.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports:
Former Colts WR Reggie Wayne arrived in New England last night and is taking a physical with the Patriots today, per league sources.

Where would Wayne fit in for New England?
At 36, he is not the player he once was, but he was still effective in 2014 with the Colts. He could battle with the likes of Amendola, Brandon Gibson, Aaron Dobson and others for a roster spot and playing time as the 3rd - 5th receiver. While he's signing late in camp, he's a savvy player who should be able to pick up the Patriots' playbook quickly.
If Wayne does end up signing with the Patriots and making the team, it will make that week six showdown with Indianapolis all the more entertaining. Wayne could have retired, and the fact that he may choose to sign with New England means that he thinks he can contribute.
