The New England Patriots have dominated the AFC East for the past fifteen seasons and there's no reason to think that 2015 will yield anything differently. In fact, this is quite possibly the first season in the past five or six where the whispers of the Patriots demise haven't really hit the mainstream. Maybe that should be cause for concern. Probably not.
Alec and Rich talk about how the rest of the AFC East has looked over the first couple weeks of the preseason, including one prediction change in how the division will fall out.
At the 8:35 mark, the discussion changes to review the Saints game and quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo's sterling performance. Plenty of skill players emerged on offense when given the opportunity, from Chris Harper and Brandon Gibson to Dion Lewis and Jonathan Krause, and one has to think that Garoppolo's play was a common thread in helping each player succeed.
Friday's upcoming game against the Panthers will be the first great chance to see how the actual starting line-up will look during the regular season, and the discussion starts at 24:00. Everyone can hope that tight end Rob Gronkowski will stay bubble wrapped until the regular season, but if he plays it will be during week 3 of the preseason.
