The (1-1-0) New England Patriots will travel to face the (2-0-0) Carolina Panthers
The last time the Patriots faced the Panthers was in 2013, where Rob Gronkowski was held in the end zone, allowing the Panthers to sneak away with a victory. The Patriots have also defeated the Panthers in Super Bowl XXXVIII.
The Patriots have a former Panther on the roster in wide receiver Brandon LaFell, although LaFell isn't expected to play. Panthers star linebacker Luke Kuechly attended Boston College.
Game three of the preseason is when the Patriots starters have their final dress rehearsal prior to resting in week 4. Look for Tom Brady to line up for at least a half of football with the starting offense, and maybe even some action with the tight end duo Rob Gronkowski and Scott Chandler .
