New England Patriots cornerback Malcolm Butler had a tough match-up against Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown in the opening week. While Brown definitely racked up the yardage, Butler was very competitive as a starter against one of the best receivers in the league.
Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio had the chance to speak with Brown to get his thoughts on Butler's performance.
"People have high expectations, Antonio, for Patriots cornerback Malcolm Butler after he made that big play in the Super Bowl," Florio said to the Steelers receiver. "What were your impressions of him in his efforts to defend against you last week?"
"Well, I think he's a good competitor, and he was tight in some instances," Brown replied. "He's a great cornerback and I think he's got the making to be a really great player. I think he's excited the match-ups and I think he's got a lot of confidence- and I think he's only going to get better."
