The New England Patriots have already started to adjust their practice squad roster and they've populated the roster with a familiar face. After cutting 2014 4th round pick Cameron Fleming to make space of defensive tackle Khyri Thornton (who you can check out here), the Patriots found a way to squeeze the offensive tackle on the practice squad.
Fleming became expendable with the acquisition of tight end Michael Williams from the Lions, as Williams operates better in space and Fleming wasn't going to see time on the offensive line. While Fleming has shown promise, he hasn't put together the consistency needed for an offensive lineman.
With Fleming added to the practice squad, the Patriots have released 2015 7th round pick Xzavier Dickson. New England is stacked on the roster with edge defenders and Dickson wasn't going to make an impact this season. The former Alabama graduate showed enough during the preseason to believe that he won't have any trouble latching on to another team's practice squad.
