Ty Law has had quite the successful career. In his 15 NFL seasons, the former cornerback has won three Super Bowls, was voted to the All Pro team twice and to the Pro Bowl five times. He is a member of the NFL's team of the 2000s and was inducted into the New England Patriots Hall of Fame in 2014.

He had enormous success on the field, both as a player and... as an honorary captain. When the Patriots great is called upon to serve in this role, the team has an unblemished 3-0 record. On Sunday against the Denver Broncos, New England hopes to make it to 4-0: according to Jeff Howe, Law will once again serve as honorary captain for the AFC Championship Game.

Ty Law will be the Patriots' honorary captain Sunday. Pats are 3-0, including 2-0 in AFCCG, when Law has been an honorary captain.

Sunday will mark the third time that Law will serve as honorary captain for the AFC's title game after also doing it in 2011 and 2014. As Howe stated, the Patriots won both games, beating the Baltimore Ravens and Indianapolis Colts, respectively.

Seeing Ty Law on the field might take Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning on a trip down Championship-memory lane: in the 2003 conference title game, Law intercepted Manning three times and was an integral part of helping the Patriots reach and subsequently win Super Bowl XXXVIII.
