The (12-3) New England Patriots are limping towards the finish line, but they need one final victory before they can take a couple weeks to rest up for the playoffs. The (5-10) Miami Dolphins will be playing host, and potential spoiler, but they're just as banged up as the Patriots.
In addition to firing the front office and coaching staff, the Dolphins have placed wide receiver Rishard Matthews on the injured reserve. Matthews fielded 12 targets for 7 receptions and 62 yards in the first match of the season. The loss of talent will definitely hurt the Dolphins passing attack.
Additionally, center Mike Pouncey is doubtful and quarterback Ryan Tannehill was spitting up blood just one week ago. The Dolphins shouldn't risk their franchise for such a meaningless game (from their perspective), so hopefully the Patriots can get ahead early and leave without another injury.
